TUH-DUH!! my first photo art install for @vicentewolfdesigns elegant upper east side townhouse renovation + design..
I’ve known VW for 30 years and he always been so supportive of my photography over the years ..and the admiration is mutual..his interior design has left an indelible impression for chic, clean, intentional living today! He always knocks it out of the park and this reno was right up there with personally selected elements from his globe trotting travels (he knows how to travel roughing it too!)
I approached Vicente a month ago with my latest Dutch series of wavy glass abstracts..VW pounced, so I had the honor of positioning my abstract photography artwork at the front entrance of his client’s townhouse which sets the tone of what’s to come! Of course the behind the scenes is another matter…
The Process! Stepping into a new approach, front face mounted plexi has it’s complexities and after several costly & disappointingly “muddy” cross section test runs trying to patron a local neighborhood printer, I finally turned to the impeccable & down to earth team Picto NY whom handles upscale art and just gets it.
And of course, always anchoring me by my side, my husband + artist collaborator Gonza @gonzalocarlospita (gonzalopita.com) offered to do the install on an intimidatingly new glossy white wall while making it look easy & seamless !
